A1 – Standing water communities with Trapa, Lemna, Salvinia and Ceratophyllum:

Floating or shallowly rooted annual aquatic communities with high cover ratio in eutrophic standing waters. This habitat is widespread in the country, but altogether it has small extension (6200 ha). Its area was probably partly underestimated by the mapping, since small stands are often hided for example in canals (these stands were not always documented due to the scale of the mapping). 80% of the stands are on Tiszai-Alföld (4900 ha). On Dunai-Alföld (600 ha) it occurs mainly on Duna-sík. It is sporadic in the Dunántúli-dombság (400 ha), on Nyugat-Dunántúl (150 ha), in the Északi-középhegység (90 ha), and on Kisalföld (80 ha). It is especially rare in the Dunántúli-középhegység (2 ha). The largest stands can be found in oxbow lakes (along Tisza, Duna, Körös and Bodrog rivers), occasionally in fish ponds, as well as in Kis-Balaton and in Tisza-tó. Frequent habitat of present and former floodplains, but it is often missing from the dry regions.
