H1 – Closed rocky grasslands, species rich Bromus pannonicus grasslands:
Closed, semi-dry grasslands in collin-submontane areas, occurring on rocky, shallow soil, dominated mainly by Sesleria species and/or by Bromus pannonicus. This habitat with its special species pool is connected to dolomite or limestone, and occurs on the upper third part of steep, rocky slopes. This rare habitat occurs always in small patches, the total area in Hungary is 20 ha. 75% of that can be found in the dolomite regions of the Dunántúli-középhegység (Keszthelyi-hegység, Bakony, Vértes, Gerecse, Budai-hegység, Pilis). Sporadically it occurs in the Északi-középhegység (altogether approx. 5 ha), here especially on limestone (Naszály, Bükk), and exceptionally on igneous, but basic gabbro (Bükk), and only one stand in the Kőszegi-hegység.
